I initially trained as a Chartered Management Accountant with Thorn EMI Electronics before moving to Johnson & Johnson and Dell where I held a number of senior Financial roles. My work involved travelling extensively throughout the UK, France, Italy and Nordic countries, advising on acquisitions, strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting.
One of the advantages of having working for US owned businesses, is that they are probably amongst the best in the world in terms of their strict financial management and controls. Combined with the fact that manufacturing, IT and software industries are notoriously challenging from a financial perspective, I have a unique understanding of what is required to transform business performance and achieve financial certainty.
I am experienced at advising rapidly growing businesses how to get ready for acquisition, working with turn-around businesses that need strict financial plans and controls, and developing strategic plans, forecasts and budgets for a multitude of businesses that are looking to improve their performance and profitability.
When I decided to relocate to Yorkshire and setup Robinson & Co I was clear that our business would be so much more than simply crunching the numbers for clients. I think you’ll find our approach refreshing.
I am passionate about business and enjoy nothing more than helping clients understand the financial levers that they need to pull in order to grow their revenues and profits. Most importantly, I take great pleasure in helping them achieve this reliably, consistently and predictably. We can do the same for you too.
I worked in various accounting and financial service roles prior to joining Robinson and Co in 2008 and have both book-keeping (IAB) and insurance qualifications (CII). I’m a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, have 2 children and am a keen salsa dancer.
I started my career at Robinson & Co at a mere 10 weeks old and am the one who will greet you first as you enter our office. I’m a friendly chap who likes nothing better than being fussed over but if you have a biscuit with you I will definitely be your friend for life! For relaxation I like to spend time sleeping, going on long walks searching for ducks and hoovering up any abandoned sandwiches on desks.
